 Age:  approx. 2 years

Coalton is a big love bug but he has the worst thing going for him, he's a black dog.  Black dogs notoriously do not get adopted but we're hoping someone will look beyond the color of his coat and see what a great lovable boy he is. It's always the big dogs that think they're lap dogs and he is no exception. He's a handsome, playful boy, he's very athletic and would make a great hiking/adventure partner.  He can jump a 4' fence with ease, a home with at least a 6' fence is a must for this boy.   

REQUIREMENTS & PROCEDURES

 Mutt Match L.A. does not adopt out of state nor do we adopt on a first come first serve basis but rather to the home that is best suited for each particular dog and breed.  All breed.  An application, home check, contract and adoption fee are required for all adoptions.  All dogs will be, or required to be, spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped before adoption.  Most of our dogs are from local LA area shelters, we have no prior history for them.

Adoption fees are $350 for puppies 8 weeks – 3 years, $300 4 – 7 years and $250 for dogs over 7 years.  Adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip a wellness check, any additional medical expenses necessary and of course the all the love and daily care we take with each dog before they are adopted.

We believe a well behaved dog is a happy dog and companion.  Therefore, we require at least one session with one of our recommended behaviorists for a reduced fee.
